The Richland County Deputies, Corrections and Telecommunicators settled their contract negotiations for a new three year agreement.  Highlights include an increase of over 10% in wages, and increased rank pay.  Retirees now can opt to continue receiving County insurance at their expense.  Restrictions were placed on the number of hours part-time employees work, as well as minimum staffing requirements.  Employees now have the discretion to utilize personal leave with 48 hours advance notice and they will receive additional personal leave days for perfect attendance annually.  Bargaining team of Kevin McCormick, William Novak and Donna Sian were assisted by Labor Council Attorney John Weathers.
