Patrol Officers in Zion are working under a new three year Agreement. The City and the Council put aside past disagreements and reached an amicable Agreement in just a few months of bargaining.  Wage increases were 6% for all members over the term of the Agreement with full retroactivity.  Senior members of the department were the beneficiaries of a new step that resulted in an increase over the term of the Agreement for those members of 11%.  Insurance premium rates were capped with fixed maximum percentages each year. The City also agreed to explore 12 hour shifts and a Retirement Health Savings Plan in the future.
