The Police Officers and Dispatchers in the City of Marion locked in a three-year Contract which included general wage increases that exceeded the cost of living, a 50% increase in education incentives, and doubling their potential certification pay.  They gained the ability to roll over accrued vacation into subsequent years, reduced the equipment expenses of hew hires, and added a generous insurance incentive for officers who choose to retire by the age of 55.  The team's tenacity and cohesion ensured that the unit will enjoy many new benefits, and avoided the numerous take-backs that the employer initially proposed.  Bargaining team of Scott Morse, Pete Huddleston and Jody Wright were assisted by Labor Council Attorney James Daniels.
