North Riverside Police Officers and Sergeants settled a 3-year contract.  All discipline is now subject to the Grievance Procedure; Employees will receive 60-day notice of layoff (from 90 days notice); wages increased by 7.75% over the duration of the agreement; and clothing allowance was increased by $25 for detectives and patrol. Other improvements negotiated were time off selection for sergeants; limitations on black out days for vacation selection; and operation changes regarding scheduling.  Some concessions were made on health care. Bargaining team members for the unit were Frank Schmalz, Christian Ehrneberg, Chris Boenzi, Chris Devine and Billy Cinkay; assisted by IL FOP Representatives Ralph Nikischer, Dan Mahoney and Attorney John Roche.
