I am happy to report that the parties have reached an agreement for a successor contract for the Naperville patrol officers.  Thanks to the hard work and dedication of the bargaining team, Mike Caruso, Tom Sheehan, Ricky Krakow, Jason Zbrozek and Tim Thorpe, and with the assistance of Labor Council Attorney Tamara Cummings, the parties were able to reach agreement after negotiating for approximately six (6) months.

Under the new 5 year agreement, members will receive a compounded 12.3% raise over the life of the contract.  The team also achieved an increase in the maximum comp time bank, an increase in the City’s contribution to VEBA, an increase in stand-by pay, and a new boot allowance.  The team agreed to a modest increase in insurance premium contributions to take effect in the latter years of the contract, coupled with some reasonable plan design changes.

Congratulations team on a job well done!
