Congratulations go out to the Douglas County Deputy and Command units on the recent settlement of their initial contracts.  Negotiations took place over the span of a year and involved numerous meetings.  The memers of both units will receive a 9.5% increase in pay over the four (4) year span of the contract, as well as additional longevity steps and shift differential pay.  The members also received compensatory time accrual, an increase in vacation time and shift bidding for the Deputy unit.

The negotiations were held in Tuscola, IL and were conducted by Randy Allen and Kaitlin Washburn for the Deputies, and Josh Blackwell and Wes Fleener for Command.  All were assisted by Labor Council Field Representative Dan Bailey and Field Supervisor Jerry Lieb.
