After more than a decade, the St. Clair County Corrections Officers reached an Agreement without going to arbitration. The bargaining team consisting of Chairman Howard Kurtz, Don Humphrey, Rodney Wilson, Eric Browder and David Casey did an outstanding job on behalf of their membership achieving a 7% increase over three years, along with gaining an additional $500 on their uniform allowance, improved holiday pay, and an added fifth week of vacation at the twenty year mark.  In addition to these remarkable gains, each current member of the bargaining unit received a $3,000 signing bonus.  The team was assisted during negotiations by Labor Council Field Supervisor Jerry Lieb.
