Congratulations are in order for the Metropolis Telecommunicators, Sergeants and Patrolmen.  The unit negotiated a three year deal with the City of Metropolis reaching an agreement on several issues.  Specifically, the unit was successful in obtaining free retiree health insurance for the unit.  The unit also kept the cost of family health insurance to $144.00 a month, by agreeing to an increase in family deductibles. Finally, the unit settled on a 5% wage increase over the course of the next 3 years.

The contract was negotiated by John McNeely, Ricky Griffey, Bruce Laird, Tim Davis and Joy Grimes with assistance from E. Ryan Hall, negotiations taking place in Metropolis, Illinois.
