The unit completed negotiations on a successor agreement.  Excellent modifications in wages were reached, receiving 2.5%, 2.5%, 2.5% and 3% over a 4 year deal. Concessions were made however, by agreeing to pay for a small portion of their health insurance premium and reducing the payout of sick leave accumulation for new hires upon retirement. A 457 deferred compensation plan was negotiated, allowing them to bolster their retirement savings and assist in supplementing their pensions, as well as an additional rank of Corporal. The unit also defended their telecommunicators and fought off an attempt to dismantle their sick leave accumulation for current employees.  Negotiations were held in Union County and was assisted by IL FOP Labor Council Attorney E. Ryan Hall.
