The Labor Council and the City of Geneva have completed bargaining for a new 4 year Agreement. The parties utilized the assistance of a mediator to avoid arbitration and reach an amicable settlement.  Senior employees at the top two steps of the wage scale shall see their salary increase an average of 2.75% a year over the term.  All other employees shall average an increase of 2.5% over the term.  Uniform allowance will increase by more than 50% over the course of the contract.  Travel expenses and the ability to use time off during the summer months were increased. Local bargaining team members worked very hard with City representatives to complete this Agreement during these contentious times for Labor.
