After a short  period of bargaining, Oakbrook Terrace Sergeants and Patrol Officers and the Labor Council have reached agreement with the City on a new 3 year contract. Wages over the term for all members shall increase 7.25 % over the term.  Salaries   for Patrol Officers at the top of the pay scale shall increase an additional 2.75% in the form of an equity salary adjustment in the second year of the Agreement.  Acting Shift Commander Pay was increased. A new medical insurance plan in the form of a Health Savings (HSA) plan will result in significant savings to members and will result in increased benefit coverage. New Articles regarding shift trades as well as Light Duty are now incorporated in the contract. Employees will now enjoy a Personal Day on demand. Dedicated work by the local bargaining team members resulted in a fair and equitable Agreement for all parties.
