: A well deserved “congratulations” to the Bargaining Team, consisting of Brian Steele, Kenneth Bloom and Clint Gericke.  The current Richton Park Agreement was approximately two years in the creation, concluding with “Mediation Arbitration” to resolve the outstanding issues.  The negotiations were amiable throughout, although there were some stumbling blocks, of which, with some assistance from the arbitrator, acting as mediator, were able to be overcome.  Among the outstanding issues, were the processing of discipline through the grievance procedure, wages, and insurance.  Taking into consideration the state of the economy as it relates to the Village and its citizens, and the administration’s responsibility to them, the team was able to negotiate a three year Agreement consisting of fair and equitable wage increases, moderate increases to insurance premiums, a slight modification of insurance benefit levels and all discipline grievable through the grievance procedure in the Agreement.  All participants in the process (Employee & Employer) alike are to be commended for their hard work and dedication in attaining this new Agreement.
