Emhurst Officers negotiated a new three-year agreement.  New language was bargained that specified how hirebacks are to occur in the patrol division. The lanuguage makes it clear who has priority for overtime opportunites and who will be forced back, if necessary.  The provision permits officers to split overtime shift with other officers as long as they obtain supervisory approval.

Wage inreases were 2.5%, 2.5% and 2.75% across-the-board each year, with an additional 0.75% increase on January 1, 2015 for a total of 8.5% over the three year period.  The additional increase was extracted for an agreement to raise employee contributions to the PPO Plan (not HMO or HSA plans) from 13% to 15%.  The employee contribution for the PPO Plan will increase to 20% in 2016 with the contributions to the HMO and HSA plan remaining at 13%.

Also, effective May 1, 2015, a new step (after 15 years) was added to the pay plan. The new step, as opposed to a longevity bonus, will increase as all other steps in the pay plan upon application of the annual salary increase.

Tom Cronin, Dennis Kazarian, Dan Bishop, Josh Duffy and Tony Poli put together this deal for the unit.
