The Lawrence County Deputies, Corrections and Telecommunicators unit negotiated a three year deal with Lawrence County Board and the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office.  Specifically, the team comprised of Byron Middlecoat, Matt Lawson and Danny Ahse negotiated changes in wages, increasing their base wage 1.25 over the course of the contract.  The unit also was successful in the removal of merit commission language and placing issues of discipline and dischage solely through the grievance and arbitration procedure.  The unit also made improvements in their sick leave language as well.  Labor Council Attorney E. R. Hall assisted the Bargaining Team in negotiations.
