Through the patient negotiations of the Tazewell County Probation Bargaining Committee, consisting of Joyce Ricci, Scott Moon, Daymon Aeilts, Brian Long and Kim Atkins, the bargaining unit was able to gain major wage improvements over a five year agreement.  While the percentages were modest, 1%, 1%, 2% and 2%, the real gain was a change in the 3rd year of the agreement whereby the unit went from 35 hours a week to 40 hours paid.  With this change, something the unit has been seeking for years, the pay for this unit will go up approximately 13% over the term of this contract.  The unit made little concession to obtain this long sought after change.  Without a doubt this negotiation can only be considered a resounding success for the unit.  The committee was assisted by Illinois Fraternal Order of Police Labor Council Attorney Rob Scott.
