Early negotiations resulted in a two-year contract for Crawford County Sheriff's Deputies, Correctional Officers and Telecommunicators.  In an attempt to prevent the extended negotiations and interest arbitration process of the last contract, the Crawford County Board came to the Union in Spring 2014 and requested an early start to the negotiations.  The current contract was set to expire on November 30, 2014.  The new agreement calls for wage increases in the amount of 2% for fiscal year 2015 and 2.5% for fiscal year 2016.  In addition to the base wage increases, the contract calls for the day shift differential of $.025 per hour and an employer HSA monthly contribution to be rolled into the employee's base pay prior to the addition of the base wage increases.  The union members did agree to begin paying the cost of the dental plan insurance premiums; however there was no increase in the employee health insurance premiums.  Overtime distribution procedures were addressed and annual clothing allowance was increased by $50.00.  The local team consisted of Lesia Lewis, Todd Fear, Eric Leckey & Henry Van Winkle.  The team was assisted by Field Representative David Nixon.
