The Clay County Sheriff's Department and the Labor Council recently settled their collective bargaining agreement negotiations for a new 3 year contract.  Highlights include an increase in wages of $1.62 per hour over the duration of the agreement, an increase in footwear allowance, more clearly defined shift bidding rules and a nearly 50% increase in the Employer's contribution to Employee insurance.  Bargaining team members Jeremy Childers, Derrick Cloclasure, Chad Milner and Stephan Wood were assisted by IL FOP Labor Council Attorney John Weathers.
