Evanston Patrol Officers have reached agreement on a new 3 year contract, their second with the Labor Council as their bargaining agent.  Wages shall increase 8.4 % over the term.  Educational Incentive pay will increase 70% by end of the contract.  Training compensation for acting as training officer and as the K-9 Officer is now included in the contract. Drug and Alcohol Testing is now also referenced in the contract and a minimum alcohol testing standard was established.  There was no increase in insurance premiums for members. The City Manager requested a formal signing ceremony for the new Agreement to demonstrate the continued cooperative effort between the City and the Labor Council.  The contract also covers Telecommunicators, Service Desk Officers, and the Towing Coordinator.
