The Union County bargaining unit completed negotiations on a successor agreement.  When negotiations began, the unit had only a few items it sought, but it quickly became clear that the County wished for steep concessions in health insurance and sick leave buyback provisions.  After serious negotiation, and just prior to impasse, the parties agreed on a one (1) year deal, with no concessions on health insurance or sick leave, and the unit will receive a 2% general wage increase.  Negotiations were held in Union County and the unit was assisted by IL FOP Labor Council Attorney E. Ryan Hall.
