These negotiations lasted for several years with the County reaching an agreement at the table and then later voting against ratification.  The County Board (with two members voting against ratification, after approving the pact at the table) took this action after receiving what they perceived to be unfavorable decisions in two discharge cases handled by Labor Council Attorney John Weathers.  After multiple phone calls and letters sent threatening possible legal action and/or Labor Board proceedings, the County ultimately reconsidered its position and finally ratified the contract.  The team consisting of Adam Rhoads, Jeff Woods, and Labor Counsel Attorney John Weathers and Bill Jarvis negotiated a four year contract which included general wage increases of 9.5% over the term of the agreement.
