The officers settled a three year wage agreement with 3% wage increases for each year of the contract.  The team also secured significant improvements to the longevity scale at the 10, 15, 18 and 20 year marks. Increases were 1% at 10, 2% at 15, 3% at 18 and an additional 4% at 20 years. In exchange for this fiscal package the unit did agree to a reduction in maximum accumulated compensatory time for new hires to 20 days.  The committee also obtained non-economic improvements including the ability to utilize 3 days funeral leave either before or after the funeral; vacation being credited to the employees as of January 1st and an increase in the residency limit from 15 miles to 20 miles and now inclusive of Madison County.  The bargaining committee of Dave Heine, Damon Pipkens, Rich Hill and Chris McGinnis were assisted in negotiations by Rob Scott.
