The Downers Grove Sergeants negotiations were for the initial Labor Agreement. We were fortunate that since the Patrol Collective Bargaining Agreement was in play, we utilized many of the same Articles and Sections, saving both parties many hours at the table. A major goal accomplished was to establish a step plan for this group, which allowed a differential from the highest paid Patrol Officer. The team also rewrote the current Drug and Alcohol Policy ensuring all current provisions of such a policy were updated to the established standards.  Negotiation team members: Paul Lichamer, Rich Giancarlo, Ed Harrison, Rich Johnson with Labor Council Field Representative Shawn Roselieb and Field Supervisor Kevin S.
