24 Hour Critical Incident Hotline: 877-IFOP-911

The team recently settled a three year deal.  A few years ago the Ctiy was broke, and the unit was generous enough to accept a 0% pay raise over the life of the contract.  Things have changed some in Johnston City over the last few years, and although the City is in better economic position then it was, it is still struggling.  Over the course of negotiations the team agreed to a 6% pay increase over 3 years.  The team also negoiated and received an additional holiday, and new language on ovetime work.  Finally, due to the financial constraints of the City, through attrition the unit had shrunk.  The unit has received word that one full time police officer will be added to the ranks this fall, and additional manpower next Spring.

Members of the Johnston City Police Department were assisted in negotiations by E. Ryan Hall.
