Negotiations concluded for a new three-year agreement.  The 2% wage increases in each year were negotiated, in addition to a major change to the longevity system.  Both were retroactive to the start of the contract.

For an additional $500, the unit agreed to benefit changes to the insurance plan.  For another additional $500, the unit agreed to allow a one week lag between end of the payroll period and the issuance of their paychecks.  The County also agreed to an increase in its contribution toward the purchase of bullet-proof vests.

Many language changes were made, including reformation of the grievance procedure and management rights.  Jim Roseth, Ray Eberhardt and Jose Villagrana served on the bargaining team and did an outstanding job.
