By Michael Sheley, Field Representative - Thursday, June 27, 2013

Members from the City of Rock Falls Patrol and Sergeants bargaining unit reached a new Agreement.  The Team negotiating for the Union was Sergeant Mark Davis and Officers Doug Welber and John Cater.  The Team negotiated an agreement for a duration of three years, with a 1.5% wage increase across the board, every six months for the life of the contract.  The Team also managed to get a 10% above step grade for Sergeants, K-9 stipend of $250/yr., while Veterans or a bachelors degree in law enforcement will receive a $500 stipend added to their salary.  Officers will receive $525 and a 1% raise added to each step in the pay scale.  Language was also added to move grievances to a resolve much sooner.  Labor Council Field Representatives Shawn Roselieb and Michael K. Sheley assisted the Rock Falls team in negotiations.
