Edgar County Sheriff's Department employees (Dispatchers and Jailers) recently settled a contract in a lengthy bargaining process.  Wage increases of 6.75% over the term of the three year settlement.  In addition, the group vacation time carry-over increased to 10 days, up from 5. They have also agreed to a weekend shift differential of $0.25/hr.  The parties were also able to negotiate a side letter to permit the use of personal electronic devices in the radio room.  Employee co-insurance payment was increased to $2.50 per pay, the parties have agreed to implement a random drug testing program and language changes were made to Court Time, Uniform and Bereavement sections of the contract.  Field Representative Mark Russillo was assisted by Bargaining Committee Memebers Jamie Sanders and Mike Miller.
