The team just settled a three year deal gaining a total of 6% raise over the term of the Agreement.  Moreover, a provision was added giving the unit the ability to pick and adjust preferred vacation every six months instead of annually.  Also, the broken and damaged article was changed.   Specifically, the amount reimbursed by the city was increased to $1500 from $150.  Personal day requests were modified to allow easier approval from the Chief.  Furthermore, significant changes were made reflecting how an arbitrator is picked in the future.  The prior contracts called for a 3 arbitrator panel, adding considerable cost to any grievance or interest arbitration.  The parties agreed to select one arbitrator in the future.  The team was actively involved in negotiations and were instrumental in obtaining a resolution pleasing to all parties.
