A new two year agreement was reached between the Batavia Sergeants and the City of Batavia. The agreement calls for a 4% wage increase over two years and other economic improvements.

For the first time, sergeants appointed to the position of Watch Commander will be entitled to a stipend as well as an additional uniform allowance. The uniform allowance and roll call preparation pay currently in the contract were also increased.

The parties also agreed to some plan design changes in insurance and maintained and revised caps on increases in insurance premium contribution.  Tamara Cummings assisted the bargaining team which included Ed Perez, Shawn Mazza and Pete Tyo.
